The idea of this project is to realize a path with small panoramic viewpoints inside the Maggia Gorge. It is thought to be less invasive as possible to respect the nature of the place and to preserve his authenticity. The walk on it should be an experience in fact I have distinguished four different “rooms” in which different things happen.
In the first room, characterized by narrow gorges, the path is a hanged boardwalk so the user can walk suspended on water. In the second part the visual opens so there are different kinds of overviews from which admire the landscape. The third moment is characterized by small waterfalls that fall next to the walkway, so people can experience a close relation with water. Finally, in the fourth room, the path goes down through a natural stair digged in the rocks and it joins the level of the water. From here users have to proceed by the river until the end.
As we can notice from the description there are two different kinds of path: a hanged one, light and slim; a ground-based one, strong and heavy. The first one is made with metal and wood, the second one with concrete.
